The RLH Aerial/Underground Splice Case is a horizontal style housing for protecting fiber cable splices in straight-through and branching applications and is suitable for aerial, direct burying, wall mount, pipeline or vault mounting. It holds up to 4 ADSS cables, 2-in-2-out, and 6 splice trays for up to 144 fibers. The case is hinged on one side, opened on the other, and constructed of rugged dielectric material. Once sealed, the case will withstand hydrostatic pressure up to 106Kpa/15.4psi.

The plastic components are made of injection-molded, high-strength advanced formula polycarbonate that effectively prevents aging caused by cold, heat, oxygen and ultraviolet radiation. The strong housing and main components provide fire, water, and seismic resistance while protecting splices during pulling, compressing, impacting, bending and axial tensioning.
